currently crushing: going baroque.......

Perhaps it's fashion's response to a bleaker economic time, perhaps it's not. 

 Perhaps everyone just ran out black and grey cashmere and just had to make do with what was left.

Whatever, either way I'm digging the return of embellishment, of drama, of excess.

It's goodbye to sleek lines and minimal dressing, hello crazy town.

Say what you will, but I love me something a little shiny.

The standout for me of Fall 2012 was the perfectly extravagant and effortlessly cool at the same time, Balmain embellishment, especially on the boxy jackets, did someone say must have amazing......

Gold embroidered storks and dragons at Dries Van Noten, OTT florals and more gold, lots more gold at Dolce and Gabbana. And I think that pretty much confirms how grand baroque is.
No go forth and paint the town gold, embellish everything you own and rock it!
